Anyway, here are some easy Chinese tips to cool your temperature down :
1. Use hot to defeat hot. (以热制热）
Instead of light food, we eat HOT food and drink hot tea. For example, hot and spicy foods like hot pot work surprisingly well. We go to hot springs in summer. Lots of people take hot showers or hot baths. According to the doctors, doing these “hot things” will cause something called vasodilatation, promoting sweating, taking the heat out of the body to really cool the temperature down.
2. Six God toilet water/floral water (六神花露水 Liu Shen Hua lu shui)
Have you heard of six god water? It’s a special water that’s used in bath water or just applied all over one’s body. It really cools down your body quickly and lasts for quite a long time (within reason). And its low price makes it all the more tempting.
3. Fill up cool water in a bottle and put it under your armpit.
There are large vessels passing through here and it’s close to the body surface, so these areas are highly efficient in heat exchange. When the blood is cooler here, it will immediately flow into the heart. The heart pumps the blood into the lungs and then goes to the whole body. The key of this trick is to not use freezing cold water in case it’s too cold for you.
